“Miu5”—the expanse of water— is a spread out, uninterrupted space of the wide ocean. 

This exhibition showcases in a total of eight artworks by students from the Hong Kong Design Institution. All works are the extended association of the peculiar and vivid scene of Shau Kei Wan. Artists link the relation of the water and the eccentric elements of this site together into various visual languages. Guest would be able to discern eight independent viewpoints on the works which had the same point of departure. 

The eight works have their own perspective on the theme, “Expanse of Water”. “Water is the softest and most yielding substance. Yet nothing is better than water, for overcoming the hard and rigid, because nothing can compete with it.”  —Lao Tzu. 

May we all be less rigid and a bit more like water.
